Distress transmitters for small fishing vessels
-
TR-7530/TV-S7
This device summons emergency assistance and is for use installation on small fishing boats, with a crew of between 1 and 5, operating in waters monitored by a coastal station operating around the clock.
- Information including the ship name (ID) and its position at the time of the incident is transmitted to the coastal station in emergencies ? man overboard, sudden illness, etc.
- It can be used in conjunction with a 27MHz/40 MHz/150MHz DSB radio and an installed GPS receiver (NMEA 0183 compliant).
- Crew distress transmitters are classified as low-power radios, so no license is required.
- When the distress signal is transmitted, the transmitter can also stop the ship’s engine; this requires an optional device to be installed.
